Cursed Moon Power Collection starts on a 5×4 grid with 1,024 ways to win. Matching symbols need to appear on adjacent reels from left to right, while the grid expands to 5×5 and 3,125 ways during Free Spins.

The gameplay is built around the Slay Collector, collectible Coins and Instant Prizes, a Soul Fire Multiplier and a five-level progression system. Level Up symbols gradually improve the next Free Spins round, while Level Lock can preserve progress for another trip into the bonus.

Basics

Regular wins use the 1,024 ways system, with at least 3 matching symbols needed across adjacent reels from the left. The paytable mixes card ranks with werewolves, zombies, sorcerers and other suitably unpleasant creatures. A Wild substitutes for regular paying symbols.

The more important symbols are concentrated around the collection mechanics. Coins and Instant Prizes appear mainly across the middle reels, while the Slay Collector can appear on reels 1 and 5. That creates the usual collector-slot problem: getting a lovely screen full of money is only half the job. Dante still has to turn up and actually kill something before you get paid.

Symbols and features

The Slay Collector collects every visible Instant Prize whenever it lands. Coin values range from 1x to 9x, while special prizes include Mini 10x, Minor 50x, Mega 100x and Major 1,000x the bet. If more than one Collector lands, each can collect the available prizes separately.

Collections can then be improved by the Soul Fire Multiplier. Soul Fire symbols appear on reel 5 and push the multiplier up by +1x at a time, from its starting 1x to a maximum of 5x. The active value is applied to collected rewards. Published game information also describes the multiplier stepping back down across subsequent spins, which puts a little pressure on actually finding a Collector while the fire is still burning.

It is a simple combination, but it works well enough. Seeing a strong Instant Prize with a boosted multiplier gives the edge reels something to watch, although there will inevitably be plenty of moments where the hunter and his targets seem to have carefully arranged different work shifts.

Level Up

The more interesting idea is the Level Up Meter, which can progress through 5 levels. Level Up symbols increase the current level, with every stage improving the Free Spins feature. The upgrades stack together as progress continues.

The upgrades are:

• Level 1: Slay Collector collects all Coins and Instant Prizes twice.
• Level 2: Coin symbols can appear stacked on reel 2.
• Level 3: stacked Coins are added to reel 3.
• Level 4: stacked Coins are also added to reel 4.
• Level 5: a bonus Instant Prize is guaranteed when the level starts, without needing a Collector to claim it.

A Level Lock can preserve the current Free Spins level instead of allowing the progression to reset completely after the bonus, giving future rounds a stronger starting point.

This is probably the feature that gives Cursed Moon Power Collection its best idea. Instead of every bonus trigger feeling completely disconnected from the last one, there is at least a chance of building toward a stronger version. The middle levels are mostly variations of “more Coins please,” but reaching the upper end gives the grind a proper target.

Bonuses

Landing a Scatter on reels 2, 3 and 4 triggers 8 Free Spins. The grid expands from 5×4 to 5×5, increasing the number of ways from 1,024 to 3,125. All Level Up benefits already unlocked are active in the feature.

Level Up symbols remain active during Free Spins. Each one adds 3 extra spins, with the feature able to reach a maximum of 20 Free Spins during a single run. Progressing further during the bonus also unlocks the corresponding Level benefits.

Free Spins are therefore where the whole Power Collection setup is supposed to come together. The larger grid makes more room for Coins and Collectors, while a higher starting level can bring double collections and stacked Coin symbols into play from the beginning. A basic Level 1 bonus can still feel fairly ordinary, but arriving with several upgrades already unlocked gives the feature considerably more going on.
