Duck Hunters 2 reloads the shotgun and sends Nolimit City back into the woods, where the ducks are once again having a very bad day. Bubba is back, the familiar lunatics return and even Santa has somehow wandered into the firing line again. The original Duck Hunters already had plenty of personality, and this sequel turns the same joke up several notches.
More importantly, it actually feels like a proper sequel. Scatter pays and exploding position multipliers return, but now they can climb to 16,384x. xWays gets an Infectious xWays upgrade, Bombs are nastier, Free Spins come in three escalating versions and the new xTra mechanic can keep a good multiplier setup alive for another spin. Then there is Side Hustle, because apparently ordinary extreme-volatility gambling was not enough for Bubba.
Duck Hunters 2 plays on a 5×6 grid using Scatter Pays, with wins starting from 8 matching symbols anywhere on the grid. The RTP is 96.00%, volatility is extreme, hit frequency 17.68% and the maximum win reaches 40,000x the bet. Stakes range from 0.20 to 100, while Free Spins trigger naturally at roughly 1 in 203 spins. Early access opened on September 3, with the full release following on September 10, 2026.
Every win removes its symbols and drops new ones into the gaps. Cleared positions receive a 2x multiplier, and if the same position wins again later in the sequence, that multiplier doubles. xWays, Infectious xWays and Bombs help stretch the chain further, while Free Spins keep those multipliers active between rounds and add random upgrades on top.
A win needs at least 8 matching symbols anywhere on the grid. Those symbols disappear, new ones drop in and the sequence continues for as long as fresh wins keep forming.
Every cleared position starts with a 2x multiplier, but if that same spot joins another win, the multiplier doubles again to 4x, 8x, 16x and so on, all the way to 16,384x. It is the kind of mechanic that can turn a completely forgettable spin into chaos very quickly if a new drop lands in exactly the right place.
xWays transforms into a regular paying symbol, expands that position and boosts its multiplier by 2x, 4x or 8x. Infectious xWays takes the idea further by expanding every matching symbol already visible on the grid.
Bombs wait until no more wins are available before exploding. A regular Bomb clears itself and the symbols above it while building stronger multipliers through the blast path. The upgraded Bomb works in both directions, clearing symbols above and below. Put xWays and Bombs together and the grid can get messy very quickly – exactly how this game wants it.
Landing 3 Bonus symbols triggers 7 Duck Hunt Spins, and all position multipliers stay active between spins. The feature also starts with 1 of 6 random upgrades:
4 Bonus symbols give 8 Hawk Eye Spins with 2 upgrades, while 5 Bonus symbols trigger 10 Big Game Spins with 3 upgrades. The rules stay familiar, but every stronger trigger gives the machinery a much better chance to get properly out of hand.
xTra can appear after a suitable base-game round and offer another spin without wiping the position multipliers you just built. You can pay to keep them fully intact, or sometimes take a cheaper spin with the multipliers halved.
Side Hustle is even stranger. It lets you place optional side bets on specific things happening during the next spin, such as certain characters being removed, 2 Bonus symbols landing, a position reaching 16,384x, or even the spin ending completely dead. Completely unnecessary, but somehow perfectly at home in Duck Hunters 2.
The buy menu has 8 options, ranging from a small boost to complete madness.
The Day buys are classic Nolimit City nonsense. Starting the whole grid at 2,048x sounds broken until you remember the entry fee is 4,000x and you still need to actually land a win.
Duck Hunters 2 is exactly the kind of sequel we wanted. The stupid humor and backwoods style are still there, but almost every important mechanic has actually been pushed forward. Infectious xWays fits perfectly, the stronger Bombs work well and the 16,384x position multipliers give winning chains a ridiculous amount of room to grow.
The Free Spins are probably the strongest part. Duck Hunt, Hawk Eye and Big Game Spins all use the same easy to follow rules, but the extra upgrades make each higher trigger genuinely better. xTra and Side Hustle then add even more weirdness without pulling attention away from the main idea.
Extreme volatility means it can still be absolutely brutal, but personality, mechanics and pure entertainment value all hit the mark for us. The original already had the joke – Duck Hunters 2 finally gives it the sequel it deserved.
