Divine Queen: Power of Sun takes BGaming’s Divine Queen series from the frozen world of Heart of Ice into a futuristic Egyptian desert. A golden sun goddess watches over the reels while pyramids, glowing gems and ancient artifacts mix with a surprisingly modern sci-fi look.
The theme is a complete turnaround, but the more important change is mechanical. Every winning position can build its own multiplier up to 128x, and Free Spins let those multipliers survive between spins. It is a solid progression system, although the relatively modest 5,000x max win and weak base payouts keep the excitement somewhat under control.
The game uses 6 reels and 5 rows with a Scatter Pays system. At least 8 matching symbols anywhere on the screen create a win, after which those symbols disappear and new ones fall into their positions. The tumble continues for as long as fresh wins keep forming.
RTP reaches 97.00%, volatility is medium-high and the maximum win is 5,000x the bet. Hit frequency is approximately 25.25%, while bets range from 0.20 to 50.
Every position involved in a win receives its own multiplier. If another win uses the same cell during the tumble sequence, that multiplier doubles through 2x, 4x, 8x and so on up to 128x.
If several multiplied cells contribute to the same win, their values are added together. In the base game everything resets before the next paid spin, so strong results depend on repeatedly hitting the same positions during one long tumble sequence.
Landing 4 or more Scatters triggers 10 Free Spins. The key difference is that the cell multipliers now remain active between spins and continue growing throughout the entire bonus. Three or more additional Scatters award 5 extra spins.
The stronger Super Free Spins version also begins with 10 spins, but every position starts with a 2x multiplier already active.
There are several ways to speed up the multiplier system or skip directly to the bonus.
The regular bonus is clearly the most natural way to experience the mechanic, while the more expensive Booster modes are aimed almost entirely at pushing the cell multipliers as high as possible from the start.
Divine Queen: Power of Sun has a good core mechanic, but the rest of the game never quite matches it. Watching individual positions build from small multipliers toward 128x gives long tumble chains a proper sense of progression, and the persistent version during Free Spins is clearly where the game works best.
The 97% RTP is excellent, but the base payouts are fairly weak and the 5,000x max win feels restrained compared with many modern BGaming releases. Mechanically solid and visually clean, but not quite powerful enough to live up to its sun goddess.
