Phoenix Inferno takes Betsoft into a fiery temple where the legendary bird sits above an unusually shaped 3-4-5-4-3 grid. Lava, gold and glowing Cash symbols dominate the screen, so visually the game makes its intentions fairly obvious. The presentation is polished without being particularly original, but the diamond-shaped layout and the phoenix itself give it enough character to stand apart from another standard five-reel fire slot.
The more interesting idea is that Free Spins are already being built while you play the base game. Collected fire symbols can improve three separate values before the bonus even starts: the number of spins, the bonus multiplier and an additional Cash Bonus. At the same time, Cash symbols can pay through their own collection mechanic. The result is a game where the base spins feel connected to the next bonus instead of simply being something you wait through until a Scatter trigger appears.
