Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 - Demo & Slot Review

Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 uses 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 fixed paylines, with regular wins forming from left to right. Money symbols can appear in the base game with values from 2x to 1,000x the bet, although they are only collected during Free Spins. If exactly two Scatters land, they are pulled into the cauldron beside the reels and can randomly lead to a respin or an extra Scatter appearing to complete the bonus trigger.

The highest RTP is 96.50%, with 95.50% and 94.50% versions also available. Volatility is medium, hit frequency is 13.48% and the maximum win reaches 20,000x the bet. Stakes range from 0.10 to 250. Compared with many recent Big Bass releases, the maths is noticeably calmer, although the 1,000x fish and later collection multipliers still leave plenty of room for a much larger hit during the bonus.

Two Scatters and the Cauldron

The bonus normally triggers with 3, 4 or 5 Scatters, awarding 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins. Two Scatters are not always a dead result, though. They are collected into the cauldron, after which the game may trigger a respin by shifting Scatter reels down or simply adding another Scatter to a random position.

It is a small addition, but it gives those familiar two-Scatter near misses a little more purpose.

Pumpkins and Free Spins

Before Free Spins start, you choose one of six pumpkins. The result can be no reward or one of several upgrades:

• More Fishermen adds more Fisherman Wilds to the reels.
• Start From Level 2 begins the collection ladder one level higher.
• More Fish increases the number of Money symbols.
• More Treats improves the chance of the Trick or Treat, Spider and Bazooka features.
• +2 Spins adds two starting spins and two extra spins to every later retrigger.

During the feature, every Fisherman Wild collects all visible Money symbols. Their values range from 2x to 1,000x, and every fourth collected fisherman awards another 10 spins while increasing the collection multiplier to 2x, 3x and finally 10x. Once level 4 is reached, no further retriggers are available.

Pumpkin symbols can also appear during the bonus and offer another upgrade. If one is successfully revealed, at least five more spins are guaranteed at the current level.

Trick or Treat, Spider and Bazooka

Three random modifiers can step in when a Free Spin is missing half of the collection setup. Trick or Treat can add Money symbols when a fisherman lands alone, while Spider can pull Fisherman Wilds into view when fish are present without a collector.

Bazooka can instead replace the non-fisherman symbols on the screen, giving the spin another chance to produce something useful. These are not huge standalone features, but they make near-miss bonus spins less likely to end immediately.

Feature Buy

There are two direct bonus purchases, while Ante Bet improves the natural trigger chance.

• Free Spins costs 100x the bet and starts the regular bonus.
• Super Free Spins costs 450x the bet and increases the chance of Money symbols carrying the 1,000x value.
• Ante Bet increases the stake by 50% and adds more Scatters to the reels, making Free Spins easier to trigger naturally.

Ante Bet disables the direct purchases. The Super buy is considerably more expensive, and importantly it only improves the chance of seeing the 1,000x fish rather than guaranteeing one.
