Dead Man’s Crew - Demo & Slot Review

Dead Man’s Crew uses 6 reels and 6 rows, with no traditional paylines. Wins require clusters of at least 5 matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically, after which the winning symbols disappear and new ones fall into the empty spaces through the Avalanche mechanic.

The standard RTP is 96.07%, with a lower 94.09% version also available. Volatility is very high and the maximum win reaches 10,000x the bet, while bets range from 0.20 to 100. Ordinary cluster values are relatively modest, which puts even more emphasis on building Wild multipliers and keeping Avalanche sequences alive.

Wild Scatter multipliers

The Wild Scatter substitutes for regular paying symbols while carrying its own multiplier.

Every time it contributes to a winning cluster, its multiplier increases by +1. The Wild then moves to a random adjacent position before the next Avalanche begins, allowing it to potentially contribute again.

If several Wild Scatters take part in the same win, their multiplier values are added together before being applied. This makes positioning important, as two growing Wilds moving through the same section of the board can turn otherwise ordinary cluster wins into something much stronger.

Feature Hotspots and Crew Features

Every spin can place Feature Hotspots on random grid positions, shown with blue frames. If the symbol occupying one of those positions becomes part of a winning cluster, a Crew Feature activates.

There are five main effects:

• Transform changes all instances of one selected symbol into another.
• Symbol Removal clears one chosen symbol type from the board.
• Mystery Trail moves toward a target and turns the positions it crosses into Mystery Symbols, which then reveal one matching symbol type.
• Wild Spawn transforms itself and up to two additional symbols into Wild Scatters.
• Hotspot Generator adds more Feature Hotspots to the grid.

They work especially well after the initial Avalanche action has started to slow down. Removing symbols or spawning new Wilds can reopen the board and give the same paid spin another chance to keep running.

Free Spins

Landing 3 or more Wild Scatters awards 8 Free Spins. The triggering Wilds carry into the feature, and this time their multipliers do not reset between spins.

That changes the whole Wild mechanic. A Wild that reaches 5x early in the feature can continue building from that value on later spins instead of starting again from 1x.

Three bonus-only Crew Features can also appear:

• Wild Booster adds +1 to every active Wild multiplier.
• Wild Doubler doubles every active Wild multiplier.
• Extra Spins awards 2, 3 or 4 additional Free Spins.

This is where Dead Man’s Crew is at its strongest. Several persistent Wilds already carrying multipliers can suddenly jump much higher after a Doubler, while extra spins give them more time to roam around and keep growing.

Fast Track and Xtra-Bet

Dead Man’s Crew has several paid shortcuts built around guaranteed Wild Scatters rather than a huge menu of completely different bonuses.

• 1 guaranteed Wild Scatter costs 5x bet.
• 2 guaranteed Wild Scatters costs 20x bet.
• 3 guaranteed Wild Scatters costs 100x bet and triggers the regular Free Spins bonus.
• 4 guaranteed Wild Scatters costs 500x bet and acts as the stronger Super Bonus entry.

There is also Xtra-Bet, which increases the betby 50% and makes Free Spins roughly 1.9 times more likely to trigger. Xtra-Bet cannot be combined with Fast Track.
