Deep Sea Frenzy takes Pragmatic Play’s familiar cash-collect formula underwater, replacing fishermen and bass with sharks, treasure and a colourful seabed. At first it looks dangerously close to another reskin, but the bonus eventually gives the idea a much better reason to exist.
Instead of random Money values throughout Free Spins, every shark is worth more as the round progresses. The first spin starts at just 1x, but survive long enough and the same symbols can reach 200x each. That simple progression makes extra spins genuinely important rather than just giving you another chance at the same feature.
The game uses 5 reels, 4 rows and 50 fixed paylines. Money symbols can appear on reels 1–4 with random values between 1x and 200x, while Collect symbols appear exclusively on reel 5. The Wild can land on reels 2–5 and substitutes for regular paying symbols.
The highest RTP is 96.52%, with 95.51% and 94.51% versions also available. Volatility is medium, hit frequency is roughly 33% and the maximum win reaches 16,000x the bet.
Landing 8 or more Money symbols together with a Collect symbol on reel 5 triggers Free Spins and also collects the visible values.
Collect symbols come in several versions. The regular FRENZY symbol simply gathers the Money values, while 2x, 3x and 5x Collects multiply the total before paying it. A +1 SPIN version adds an extra Free Spin instead.
The feature normally begins with 5 Free Spins, or 6 if it was triggered by a +1 SPIN Collect.
Money values then follow a fixed progression instead of being random: 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 150x, 175x and finally 200x from spin 12 onward. Any +1 SPIN Collect landing during the feature extends the round and pushes the value ladder another step forward.
That is easily the best part of Deep Sea Frenzy. A Money-heavy screen early in the bonus may barely matter, while exactly the same setup deep into an extended round can be worth considerably more.
There are two shortcuts for reaching the feature more often or entering it directly.
Ante Bet and the direct purchase cannot be used together. The 170x buy is also fairly swingy, since starting with five spins puts you much further down the value ladder than starting with eight.
Deep Sea Frenzy looks like another Pragmatic Play collector slot, but the progressive Money values give the formula a genuinely useful twist. Every extra spin pushes the entire bonus forward, so extending the round feels much more meaningful than simply adding another identical turn.
The base game is still fairly thin, and five starting Free Spins can end before the value ladder becomes particularly exciting. Once the bonus survives into its later stages, though, the mechanic finally starts showing why this shark deserves its own tank.
