Katmandu X - Demo & Slot Review

Katmandu X features a 6×6 reel layout with a cluster pays mechanic, where wins are generated by landing five or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically. The slot boasts a win multiplier that increases with each winning cluster, which resets between spins in the base game but keeps growing during the bonus rounds. The slot’s RTP is set at 95%, a bit lower than some might prefer, but the trade-off is a top win potential of 25,000x your stake, making it an enticing choice for high-risk players.

The visuals of the game maintain the icy, mountainous theme of the Himalayas, with updated graphics that immerse players in a world of ancient temples and mythical creatures.

• Cascading Wins:
  • After each win, the winning symbols disappear, allowing new symbols to drop in and potentially create more winning combinations. This feature adds excitement as it opens up the possibility for multiple wins on a single spin.
• Multiplier Wilds:
  • Wild symbols merge when part of the same win, creating multiplier wilds that increase the payout of any subsequent wins they are part of. Exploding wilds, a new addition, remove surrounding symbols, triggering another cascade and increasing the win multiplier.
• Big Symbols:
  • Symbols can appear in sizes ranging from 1×1 to 4×4, significantly boosting your chances of forming large clusters. These big symbols crush smaller ones beneath them during cascades, adding a unique twist to the gameplay.
• Free Spins and Super Free Spins:
  • Triggering 3 or more scatter symbols awards 7 free spins, where the global win multiplier does not reset between spins. If a Super Scatter symbol is involved, players are upgraded to Super Free Spins, which guarantee a Super Wild Strike on every spin, adding either multiplier or exploding wilds to the grid.
• X-iter Feature:
  • For those who prefer to jump straight into the action, the X-iter menu offers five different options, including purchasing the bonus or Super Bonus for 100x and 500x your bet, respectively.
