Le Bandit Hold & Win sends Hacksaw Gaming’s familiar raccoon back onto the streets of Paris, but this time Smokey has had his playground seriously downsized. Instead of the larger setup and cascading action associated with the original Le Bandit, everything happens on a tiny 3×3 grid built almost entirely around Coins and Hold & Win bonuses.
It is a much simpler take on the series. The familiar sepia-toned Paris backdrop, Smokey and the old-school soundtrack are all still here, while the actual gameplay shifts toward collecting Coin values, fixed jackpots and multipliers. There is enough going on inside the bonuses to keep things moving, but compared with some of the wilder Le releases, this one feels noticeably more restrained.
Le Bandit Hold & Win uses a compact 3×3 grid with 9 fixed paylines, with winning combinations formed by three matching symbols from left to right. The highest RTP version is 96.27%, although lower configurations are also available, while volatility sits at a medium level. The maximum win is 2,500x the bet.
The base game is deliberately simple. Regular symbols handle the standard line wins, while Coins and Jackpot Coins bring some extra action before the bonuses even arrive. Landing at least three of them pays their combined values, with regular Coins reaching up to 50x and the four fixed jackpots ranging from the 5x Mini all the way to the 2,500x Grand.
That smaller format actually suits the Hold & Win idea pretty well. Spins are easy to follow, special symbols stand out immediately and there is very little clutter between you and the main mechanics.
Coins are split into Bronze, Silver and Gold variants, carrying values from 0.2x up to 50x the bet. If at least three Coins or Jackpot Coins land together during the base game, their prizes are collected.

The Grand is also the game’s maximum win, so there is no enormous five-figure multiplier waiting beyond the Hold & Win mechanics.
Landing a regular Rainbow Scatter triggers Rainbow Fortune Hold & Win with three spins. Only bonus-related symbols can appear, and every new special symbol resets the counter back to three.
Coins carry cash values, while Jackpot Coins can reveal one of the four fixed jackpots. The more interesting parts are the Clover and Pot of Gold symbols. Clovers bring multipliers between 2x and 20x, while a Pot of Gold collects the Coin values currently sitting on the grid and stores the combined amount.
There is also a neat reset mechanic hiding in the 3×3 setup. Fill the entire grid with special symbols and their values are resolved before the occupied positions are cleared, allowing the feature to continue with fresh space. It gives the tiny grid a bit more room to breathe and is probably the smartest part of the bonus design.
The rarer Golden Rainbow Scatter triggers Rainbow Epic Drop Hold & Win. The rules are largely the same, but the feature starts much hotter: all nine positions are immediately filled with a random mix of Coins, Jackpot Coins, Clovers and Pots of Gold.
At least one Coin and one Pot of Gold are guaranteed, and every starting Coin is worth at least 1x the bet. From there, the normal Hold & Win rules take over. It is basically the same bonus with the slow opening removed, which makes it easily the more exciting of the two versions.

The relatively cheap 35x option fits the simpler nature of the game, while the 100x purchase jumps straight into the stronger full-grid version.
Le Bandit Hold & Win is a decent little side trip for Smokey, but it is hard to see it as one of the stronger Le games. The compact 3×3 setup works surprisingly well with Hold & Win, and the combination of Pots of Gold, Clover multipliers and grid resets gives the bonuses enough life to stay interesting.
The problem is everything around them. Much of the presentation comes straight from the original Le Bandit, the gameplay has been heavily simplified and the 2,500x max win feels rather tame for a Hacksaw release. If you specifically enjoy straightforward Hold & Win slots, there is fun to be had here. As the next chapter in one of Hacksaw’s most recognizable series, though, it feels more like a remix than a proper step forward.
