Our verdict: San Quentin Manhunt

San Quentin Manhunt is a strong slot, but it is strong for different reasons than the earlier San Quentin games. It trades some of the old series atmosphere for a more modern grid and multiplier structure, and that makes it feel colder but also more systematic. The position multipliers are excellent, the Enhancer Cells add real variety, and the jump from Sewer Escape Spins to Manhunt Spins is meaningful. The only real drawback is that the max win is much lower than the earlier games in the series, and the volatility is still savage enough that plenty of sessions will feel rough. Even so, the mechanics are sharp, the bonus structure builds properly, and the whole game has enough depth to justify the name even if it does not play like a direct sequel.
