Chicken Halloween takes BGaming’s Chicken Shot formula and gives the farm a full Halloween makeover. The bright daytime yard is replaced by a purple night filled with pumpkins, tombstones and crooked trees, while the chickens arrive dressed as vampires, mummies and other horror characters. The giant stitched bird carrying the 64x top prize is especially hard to miss. It is clearly a seasonal version of an existing game, but there is enough effort in the presentation that it feels more considered than simply adding a few pumpkins to the background.
The important thing to know is that this is not actually a traditional slot. Chicken Halloween belongs to BGaming’s Casual range and uses the same tap-to-shoot structure as Chicken Shot. You choose a target, keep firing until the chicken goes down and collect the multiplier attached to it. Manual and Spin modes keep the rules extremely simple, while visible win chances and shot counters add just enough information to make choosing between the different birds feel more involved.
Chicken Halloween has no reels, rows or paylines. Instead, different chicken targets move around the farm carrying one of eight fixed multipliers: 1.1x, 1.5x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x or 64x. In Manual mode you choose which bird to shoot, while Spin mode selects a target automatically. Before firing, the game also displays its Chance to Win, showing the probability of taking that chicken down on the first shot.
The RTP is 97.00%, volatility is low and the official hit rate is 66.2%. The maximum multiplier is 64x, while BGaming also lists a maximum cash win of €256,000. More valuable targets generally require more shots, so the bigger chickens are not simply free access to higher multipliers. The whole game is intentionally quick and straightforward rather than built around long feature sequences.
There are two basic ways to play. Manual mode lets you choose the chicken yourself and click to shoot, while Spin mode selects a random target for you. The bet is settled through the target rather than a traditional reel spin, so the entire round revolves around whether the chosen chicken goes down and releases its Coins.
This also means there are no wilds, scatters or cascading symbols to learn. Chicken Halloween is designed to be much closer to a simple arcade-style instant-win game than a normal video slot.
Every chicken visibly carries its own multiplier. The available values are 1.1x, 1.5x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x and 64x, with the largest stitched chicken carrying the maximum prize.
When you hover over a target, Chance to Win shows the probability of taking it down with the first shot. Higher-value chickens are generally tougher targets, so the multiplier and the likelihood of an immediate win are both visible before you decide where to shoot.
The Click Counter keeps track of how many shots have been fired at each individual chicken. Progress is saved even if you switch to another target and later return, making it easier to follow several birds during the same session.
There is also Autoplay, where you can choose preferred targets, set stop conditions and decide how many rounds should be played automatically. It does not add any new mechanics, but it gives an alternative to manually clicking every shot.
Chicken Halloween does exactly what a seasonal spin-off should do: it keeps Chicken Shot’s familiar mechanics intact and gives them a much stronger Halloween presentation. The tap-to-shoot format is easy to understand, the multiplier and first-shot win chance are always visible, and the 97% RTP is notably high compared with many modern casino games. For a quick Casual title, there is enough information on screen to keep choosing targets from feeling completely blind.
The obvious limitation is depth. There are no Free Spins, bonus rounds, wilds or evolving mechanics waiting behind the next shot, and the 64x max win is tiny compared with almost any traditional slot. If you already enjoy Chicken Shot, this is a fun seasonal version with a better atmosphere. If you want a full slot with features that build over time, there simply is not much here beyond picking a bird and firing.
