ELK Studios’ Wonder Train takes us aboard a gold-powered steam train driven by a rather eccentric businessman named Wilbur. This purple-mustached gentleman owns Wilbur’s Gold Company, and judging by the amount of gold he’s throwing into his engine, business seems to be going pretty well. The train travels through colorful countryside scenery, burning through gold bars as it picks up speed. Visually, it’s another polished release from ELK Studios, with some nice animations that make the whole train setup feel surprisingly lively.
Above the reels, the Multiplier Track gradually builds up multipliers as winning combinations trigger additional respins. Collecting Coins can also activate Wilbur’s Coin Fever, a bonus where the playing area expands as new symbols appear. On top of that, there are two free spins features with Wilds that add increasingly valuable multipliers. The maximum payout reaches 10,000x the bet, so there’s certainly some potential here, even if regular symbol wins aren’t particularly impressive on their own.
