Playtech and Quickspin

Playtech bought Quickspin in 2016 for a total purchase price of 50 million euros (about 55 million dollars). The terms of the deal included an initial payment of 24 million euros for Quickspin shares, and the remaining 26 million euros would be paid based on Quickspin's EBITDA results in 2017 and 2018. This acquisition was significant, as it combined Quickspin's strong portfolio of more than 20 high-quality video slots and established position in the Nordic market with Playtech's wide reach and resources for online casino gaming and betting.

The deal also ensured that Quickspin's founding team, including CEO Daniel Lindberg, CCO Mats Westerlund and CPO Joachim Timmermans, would remain with the company for at least three years after the acquisition. The purpose of this move was to preserve Quickspin's innovative approach and expertise within the expanded Playtech group.
