Slot review: Book of Sakura

Book of Sakura is a Quickspin slot that returns to the pink cherry blossom world of the Sakura series. It is not a direct sequel in the same style as Sakura Fortune or Sakura Fortune 2, but the setting and familiar female warrior clearly place it in that same soft Japanese fantasy universe.

This time, the series moves into classic Book slot territory. The peaceful forest, floating petals and polished artwork give the game a gentle look, but the gameplay underneath follows a very familiar expanding-symbol path. If you have played Book of Dead or almost any “Book of” slot before, you will know the road pretty quickly.

That is also the main issue. Book of Sakura looks nice and plays smoothly, but it feels more like Quickspin dressing an old formula in cherry blossoms than building something truly fresh. It is not bad, but it rarely feels exciting either. Pretty flowers, familiar book, not much surprise hiding between the pages.

Our verdict: Book of Sakura

Book of Sakura is a polished but underwhelming Quickspin release. The Sakura theme still looks pleasant, and the Book-style expanding symbol feature is easy to understand, but the game does not do enough to feel fresh.

The biggest problem is the 1,500x max win. For a high-volatility slot, that feels low, especially when the gameplay is already built around a familiar formula. Sakura Spin and Golden Free Games help a little, but not enough to fully lift the game.

Overall, Book of Sakura is playable and nicely presented, but it feels too safe. It may suit fans of simple Book slots, but it is not one of the stronger Sakura releases.
